The bookshop is a proudly activist, intersectional, feminist, antiracist, and LGBTQ+ community space. In 2020, it was nominated for Scotland’s Best Independent Bookshop.
The shop celebrates diverse perspectives and actively champions marginalised voices.
With a catalogue of 10,000 books covering genres from politics, history, and fiction to children’s literature, crafts, and cookery, the bookshop has a special focus on radical, left-wing, and Scottish politics, intersectional feminism, revolutionary history, environmentalism, LGBT+ writing, poetry, and translated fiction.
Open seven days a week, the shop runs a lively year-round events programme, including weekly gatherings and regular book groups.
