Royal Lyceum Edinburgh
The Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh stands as a showcase for Scotland’s creative spirit, attracting more than 100,000 visitors annually to its 140-year-old venue in the heart of the city.
The Lyceum produces its own theatre, with rehearsals held in a dedicated studio opposite the main auditorium. Costumes and sets are designed and constructed in-house at the company’s workshop in Roseburn, Edinburgh.
The theatre’s commitment to creativity also drives its community and engagement programmes. In 2024, the creative learning department marked 25 years of supporting emerging talent.
Royal Lyceum – Young People
The Lyceum’s Youth Theatre has launched the careers of many Scottish actors, encouraging confidence and building lasting connections.
The theatre also offers workshops for those aged 60 and over, as well as technical courses and professional training for artists at various stages of their careers.
For six decades, the Lyceum has remained dedicated to producing world-class theatre for audiences in Edinburgh and beyond.
